Essay contest winners
Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1879 of Iron Mountain recently sponsored a seventh-grade essay contest on “Why I Am Proud to be an American.” The contest was open to students at Iron Mountain and Norway-Vulcan Middle Schools.
Teachers selected first- and second-place winners, with those essays moving on to state competition.
