IRON MOUNTAIN — Auditions for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “Jack and the Beanstalk” will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Braumart Theatre in Iron Mountain.

Those auditioning should arrive at 9:30 a.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Approximately 50 to 60 roles are available for local students. All students in first through 12th grades are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Most students will rehearse four hours and 15 minutes each day, Monday through Friday.

“Jack and the Beanstalk” is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project and is presented in Iron Mountain by Friends of the Braumart and is sponsored in part by Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and Constellation’s Community Champions. Performances are scheduled for 3 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Braumart Theatre.

Cost to participate is $30 per child for the week.
