CF Lions Club details work, looking for new members
CRYSTAL FALLS — The Crystal Falls Lions Club focuses on helping community members and doing community projects in Iron and northern Dickinson counties.
They are members of the International Lions Club, the largest service organization in the world, and offers an opportunity for everyday people to make great things happen in the area.
In the past, the Crystal Falls Lions Club would do work in the community rather than hire a contractor. However, since much of the membership is aging and unable to do the physical work, they now are providing funding to area individuals and agencies to contract out for the work. Events such as the annual Bass Festival and White Cane collections help fund this work.
Those who know someone who needs assistance can contact Crystal Falls Lions Club with a request for assistance by contact president Joy Fredericks by phone at 906-284-3366 or https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/images/cleardot.gifemail.
New club members who have a love of community and helping neighbors also are always welcome and encouraged. Meetings take place at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the Lions Den at Runkle Lake Park in Crystal Falls.
