Local author reading, book signing in Crystal Falls

Crystal Falls — The Crystal Falls Community Library invites the public to meet local author James M. Jackson at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Jackson has written short stories, a novella, non-fiction, and is most widely-known for his “Seamus McCree” mystery series, which he describes as “north of cozy and south of noir.”

Jackson will be discussing with the audience the theme of roots and how it pertains to Seamus McCree (the protagonist from his famous “Seamus McCree” mystery novels) in Jackson’s latest book “False Bottom.” He will be doing a short reading from the novel as well.

There will also be a question and answer time.

If you would like to familiarize yourself with his work before the event, his books are available for check out at both the Crystal Falls and West Iron Libraries. They can be purchased at Ben Franklin’s in Crystal Falls and Tall Pines in Amasa.
