Hardwood — Brittany Jauquet, doctor of physical therapy;

Iron Mountain — Kathryn Brown, bachelor of science in business administration; Zachary Caudell, bachelor of science; Jade Driscoll, bachelor of science; Evan Kleikamp, doctor of physical therapy;

Kingsford — Amanda Camp, bachelor of applied arts; Daniel Fleming, bachelor of science; Edgar Sexton, bachelor of science in business administration; Megan VanPembrook, bachelor of science in education; Raegen Walter, graduate certificate;

Caspian — Colton Pangrazzi, bachelor of science in business administration;

Crystal Falls — John Guzowski, bachelor of music education; Kelsi Hendrickson, bachelor of science;

Albion College women’s soccer member Madeline Ryan was among 170 Albion athletes named to the 2018-19 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll.

The MIAA Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain a 3.5 grade-point average for the academic year and earn a varsity letter in an MIAA-sponsored sport.

As a team, women’s soccer received an MIAA Team GPA award for its average 3.61 GPA for 2018-19. Eight Albion teams exceeded the 3.3 team average required to earn this award. Ryan is a first-year student at Albion College and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program.

Ryan is the daughter of Adam and Kristy Ryan of Iron Mountain and is a graduate of Kingsford High School.

OXFORD, Ohio –Kyle Kreider of Iron Mountain was among more than 3,800 students from Miami University who received degrees during spring commencement exercises May 18 at Millett Hall. Kreider graduated with a bachelor of science in business degree, majoring in finance.

ALMA, Mich. –Elly Jauquet, of Channing, received a bachelor of arts degree in art and design in April at Alma College.

MILWAUKEE — Caleb Plumley of Iron Mountain has been named to the dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for the spring 2019 semester. The dean’s list recognizes undergraduate students who have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher.

GRAND RAPIDS — Dustin R. Thurston of Norway graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor of science degree. More than 3,200 Grand Valley students participated in commencement ceremonies this past April at Van Andel Arena.

HOUGHTON — Lilly J. VanLoon was named to dean’s list at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, for the 2019 spring semester. Nearly 1,700 students were named to the dean’s list this spring.

To be included, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

MANKATO, Minn. — Alexandria Dobson of Iron Mountain made the High Honor List at Minnesota State University-Mankato.

Among 3,140 students, a total of 829 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight “A” average, while 2,311 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List.

To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

Concordia University officials have released the spring honors list for the 2018-2019 academic year. To be eligible for the honor, students must achieve a minimum 3.60 GPA.

Among the area students named to the list were:

Iron Mountain — Hannah Carlson, sophomore, actuarial science; Sarah Harris, freshman, social studies board field-education; Greta McCash, junior, rehabilitation science-regular.

Norway — Noah Voss, senior, marketing and sport and entertainment management.
