Upcoming events at the Dickinson County Library include:

Month-long

— September is Library Card Sign-Up Month at all Dickinson County Library branches.

A library card puts a world of knowledge at your fingertips. Any new patrons who sign up for a library card during September will be entered in a prize drawing. Existing patrons also can enter the drawing by either adding an e-mail address to their account or confirming the e-mail address now on file.

Tuesday

— Animal Tales, 10 and 11 a.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Take a walk on the wild side with animal-themed storytimes for children from birth to age 5. Each week will feature a different creature, such as cats, crocodiles, pigs or elephants. Sessions will include stories, songs, activities and crafts.

Thursday

— Author Visit: Adam Blumer, 6:30 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Local author Adam Blumer will discuss his three Christian suspense novels: “Fatal Illusions,” “The Tenth Plague” and “Kill Order.” Event is for teens and adults.

Saturday

— Classy Correspondence, 1:30 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Connect with people through the old-fashioned art of writing a letter. In this drop-in program, the library will provide stationary, envelopes and fountain pens to create messages with a personal touch. Event is for teens and adults.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

— Animal Tales, 10 and 11 a.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

— Page by Page Book Club, 6 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.
