IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County Genealogical Society members and guests are invited to the first monthly meeting after the summer recess at 1 p.m. Thursday in the History Room at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

The program will be followed by a brief business meeting.

Those who attend are encouraged to take some time to review the history photo wall in the History and Genealogy Room. Each township in Dickinson County is represented.

In addition to the photo wall, access will be available to the large collection of obituaries, marriage announcements and notices of men and women in military service. This information is kept in alphabetically arranged three-ring binders. These materials can be photocopied, leaving the original in the binder for others to research.

Members are reminded to bring in receipts from Tadych’s and Super One stores.
