CRYSTAL FALLS — Kickoff of Forest Park’s Homecoming and Spirit Week begins today at Forest Park High School in Crystal Falls.

Students will be engaged in high-spirited competitions all week long. Dress-up days, part of the competition, start today with Mis-match Day, followed by Twin Day on Tuesday, Class Color Day on Wednesday, Dress Your Theme on Thursday and Red/Black Day on Friday.

Students have the opportunity to show their school spirit by attending the bonfire tonight with class games for overall points.

Wall decorating will be Wednesday. This year’s theme for walls is “Classic Cartoons.” The public is invited and encouraged to view the walls at any time before or during the football game Friday.

On Friday, the school will have its annual pep assembly from 1:20 to 3:10 p.m. The pep assembly will feature a powderpuff football game, class cheer competition, tug-of-war and other activities.

The Forest Park Trojans will face off Friday against the Newberry Indians, with kickoff at 6 p.m.

Halftime will feature the Forest Park marching band’s performance and the introduction of this year’s Homecoming Court. Coronation of king and queen will take place during halftime, as well as the announcement of winners of all class competitions and Homecoming activities that took place during the week.

The Homecoming dance is after the football game in the high school cafeteria.
