MARSP group meets Sept. 19

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will meet Thursday, Sept. 19, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.

Randy VanGasse, legislative ambassador, will moderate a roundtable discussion on “What’s Happening in Lansing, the Legislature and How This Impacts Our Schools.”

A social hour with coffee will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a noon luncheon. A cash bar also be available. The lunch will feature chicken Alfredo served over fettucini pasta with fresh mushrooms and a house salad and roll for $16. A chef salad for $14 is available on request when making reservations, either online or when called. No alterations may be made to either selection.

Members were to have been contacted by committee members Sunday. Those who have not been contacted by noon today should email MARSP at dcmarsp@gmail.com or call Pam Trash at 906-779-9157 to make a reservation. Deadline is noon Friday to cancel or add to reservations.

Members are asked to bring used eyeglasses to be donated to a sponsored outreach clinic.

While the meeting is for MARSP members and their spouses, they welcome any retiree from Michigan public schools who is interested in joining or renewing membership.
