Crystal Falls library hosts author visit, Amnesty Day

CRYSTAL FALLS — The Crystal Falls Community Library at 5 p.m. Saturday will host an author reading and book signing with Tyler R. Tichelaar, a Marquette author most famous for writing The Marquette Trilogy.

He will read from his newest novel, “When Teddy Came to Town,” about the 1913 Teddy Roosevelt libel trial in Marquette.

Those who attend the reading will be given two coupons: one for a discounted meal that evening at the Curious Pig, and another coupon for a free beverage and popcorn at the Crystal Theatre for Trevor Stephenson and Friends at 7 p.m., a Gem of a Season concert.

On Thursday, the library will have an Amnesty Day. Any patrons that currently have a fine at the library can come into the circulation desk from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and ask to have their fines forgiven.

The fines will not be removed automatically — a physical visit on Thursday is requested.
