IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford Kiwanis recently donated $250 to the Salvation Army for holiday programming. Salvation Army has their holiday intakes soon.

“We are giving them the flexibility to use the money as needed,” said Trisha Peterson. “Kiwanis’ motto is ‘Serving the Children of the World.’ We are proud to be a small part of it in Iron Mountain-Kingsford area.”

Those interested in learning more about Kiwanis are invited to attend a service project or social event. To keep updated on upcoming projects, “like” the Kiwanis of Iron Mountain-Kingsford page on Facebook.

The Kiwanis meets twice a month at noon at Pine Grove Country Club. Call Trisha Peterson at 906-774-5731 to be added as a guest to check out Kiwanis, as they pre-order meals for their meetings. It is possible to attend the noon meetings and not reserve a lunch.

The night meeting members now are the group’s activities committee.
