OZ rocks the Braumart

The local classic rock band OZ will play a one-night concert Saturday at the Braumart Theatre in Iron Mountain. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the show at 7. They also will have a video production company, Mountain Media Works, make a live marketing video that night. “Come join the fun — maybe you will be in the video,” Braumart executive director Jinx Brew said. This band began with a few friends jamming in the basement for fun, with no real plan to get serious. As new people joined the sessions, word got out and venues started asking for dates. The band stuck to classics and music the public has loved through the years, so everyone can enjoy hearing what they love to play, she said. Band members, from left, are Joe Sullivan, Ryan Doda, Fred Noeske in back, Kevin Bellefuil and Ted Wolf. “There will be a lot of singing along with the band and dancing to the music,” Brew added. Advance tickets are $10, and $15 day of show. Tickets are available online at www.thebraumart.org, from 3 to 6 p.m. today through Thursday at the Braumart box office and at the door Saturday.
