OTTER CREEK, Ore. — Eric Ahnen, son of Richard and Andree Ahnen of Breitung Township, and Kayla Dettmann, daughter of Brad and Leann Dettmann of Spokane, Wash., were united in marriage on Sept. 14 in Otter Creek, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Chris Ahnen was his brother’s best man, along with groomsmen Jake Tillman and Craig McLain, friends of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Lindsey Dettmann, sister of the bride, along with Autumn Sanders and Maria Ahnen, cousin of the groom. The bride’s cousin, Ethan Schmitz, officiated the wedding under an arch made by the groom.

Guests enjoyed a dinner and reception after the ceremony at the Spyglass restaurant. Guests traveled from Washington, North Dakota, Michigan, South Carolina and China.

Eric is currently employed as a senior hydraulic design engineer with Columbia Industries in Portland, Ore., and Kayla is a Revit remodeler at Interface Engineering in Portland.
