History center fundraiser set

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Regional History Center will bring back a favorite fundraiser, Auction at the Museum, at 7 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, Nov. 20.

The public is invited to come bid on antiques and collectibles, including vintage political paraphernalia; ceramics; glass bottles; a sodalite boulder that glows under UV light; textile arts materials, including a spinning wheel; clocks; two seats from Joe Lewis Arena; and many other curios.

The auction also features unique experiences such as the chance to tour the Marquette Savings Bank Building clock, go on a guided fall mushroom hunt, learn about Voelker at the Marquette County Courthouse, and share four full desserts from Zephyr with your loved ones.

Tickets are $20 in advance and include one drink. Light appetizers will be served, with a cash bar selling beer and wine.

It’s worth coming to the auction just to see the eclectic mix of items patrons donate for this popular fundraiser. Have a few drinks at the museum and mingle with our unique crowd.

To get tickets or more information, go online to MarquetteHistory.org, stop by the History Center at 145 W. Spring St. in Marquette or call 906-226-3571.
