Love Lights Tree Lighting event set

Ceremony to honor Connie Bartholomew

CONNIE BARTHOLOMEW WILL be honored at the 33rd annual Love Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.

IRON MOUNTAIN — Connie Bartholomew will be celebrated at this year’s annual Love Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. Family and friends of Bartholomew will welcome guests, offer a short memorial address and serve as official tree lighters for this year’s event.

Bartholomew was a switchboard operator at Dickinson County Healthcare System from 2014 until her death in September. She was knowledgeable in her job and always willing to go the extra mile. She was friendly and had a positive outlook on life. In her time away from work, Bartholomew loved the outdoors, animals, shooting and fishing.

The Dickinson County Hospital Foundation invites the community to this celebration, which not only begins the holiday season but allows community members to honor and remember their loved ones while raising funds to benefit local health care projects.

Participants purchase a Love Light in honor or in memory of a loved one, a family member, a service person or a business or organization. During the tree lighting ceremony and throughout the holiday season, the names of all those honored and remembered are displayed in the hospital lobby.

“Please join us in remembering our friend and DCH family member Connie Bartholomew and to honor and celebrate all those we love,” said Teresa Schettler of DCHS.

To participate, call Schettler at 906-776-5521 or go to www.dchs.org.
