Memory screenings available in Florence County

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Florence County will offer memory screens from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Aurora-Woodland Cafe in Aurora, Wis.

An additional session is set for Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Florence Community Center.

A memory screen is a wellness tool that helps identify possible changes in memory and cognition. The screens are free and only take about 10 minutes to complete. It helps determine a baseline of where a person is at so futures changes can be monitored; however, it is not used to determine a diagnosis.

Call the ADRC today at 715-528-4890 to schedule a 10-minute appointment and get immediate results. Note that an appointment is required.

A free, confidential memory screen also can be done at the ADRC office at a chosen date and time by calling to set up an appointment.

Starting at $4.00/week.
