MYRNA AND PAUL WARD

QUINNESEC — Paul and Myrna Ward of Quinnesec celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Dec. 18.

Paul and Myrna were born and raised in L’Anse, graduating from high school in 1950.

Paul enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, while Myrna worked for Republic Airline (now Delta) in Minneapolis.

After the service, Paul and Myrna were married on Dec. 18, 1954, at the L’Anse Lutheran Church.

Paul attended Michigan Technological University from 1955 to 1958, graduating with a degree in chemical engineering.

They came to the area in 1958 after Paul accepted a job with Kimberly Clark. Paul retired from Pentair in 1983 and worked as a consultant for an additional eight years. They have resided in Quinnesec for 61 years.

They have two children, Lori of the Nashville, Tenn., area and Dr. Michael Ward of Madison, Wis. They also have three grandchildren, Molly, Adam and Elijah; and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Annsley.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with the family during the holidays.
