NEW Piano Guys to play for IM Music Boosters fundraiser

The N.E.W. Piano Guys will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at the Braumart Theatre in Iron Mountain as an Iron Mountain Music Boosters fundraiser.
IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain High School and Middle School Music Boosters will present the N.E.W. Piano Guys at 8 p.m. Friday at the Braumart Theater in Iron Mountain.
Two guys, two pianos, and a whole lot of music–Peter Hernet and Dan Raferty promise an interactive, high-energy “dueling piano” show for the whole family.
“The audience is the best part,” Raferty said. “They request the songs they love. The songs they want to hear. And, because every crowd is different, every show is different. It’s lights. It’s fun. It’s energy and it’s comedy.”
Their all-request-style show covers a wide range of musical genres. There isn’t much they can’t play, from Elton John to Taylor Swift, said Jinx Brew, Braumart Theatre executive director.
Dueling pianos — a popular interactive style of musical entertainment — involves two pianos and a pair of players, each with their own style and sound.
“This all-ages event will get you clapping and singing along from beginning to end,” Brew said.
