MARSP plans upcoming outings

The Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel have planned tours for its members, family and friends. Mary Tachick, left, and Pam Trask recently attended “The Phantom of the Opera” with a group of MARSP members and their friends.

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel recently organized several tours for its members, family, friends and others who are interested.

Upcoming tours will include a day trip to Door County on May 28 and an Oct. 1 matinee performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson, Wis.

Recent outings have included a Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Concert, “The Golden Boys” performance and “The Phantom of the Opera.”

Mary Tachick and Pam Trask, former French teachers in Dickinson and Iron counties, have been working hard to provide affordable and fun trips that are open to MARSP members and to the general public as well.

The May 28 trip to Door County will include roundtrip transportation on a luxury motor coach, shopping, visits to a winery and orchard, a stop at the Door Artisan Cheese Company, and a fish boil at The Old Post Office.

The trip is filling up, but room remains. To join the tour, or see others that are being planned, go to https://marsptours.webs.com or call Mary Tachick at 906-774-5753 for details.
