CRYSTAL FALLS — After careful consideration of the ongoing coronavirus situation, the board of directors of the Raja Ryhma Finnish American group has decided to cancel the summer picnic that had been postponed from June to Aug. 29.

A spokesman for the organization said most of the members are in the vulnerable age and health categories and it just doesn’t seem prudent to be having their gathering at this time.

They will look forward to setting a date in December to hopefully celebrate Pikkujoulu, a traditional “Little Christmas.”
