Art in the GARDEN Scholarship Fundraiser is planned for Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Stankevich home in Goodman, Wis.

GOODMAN, Wis. — After careful consideration, the annual Art in the Garden will proceed as planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the home of Lynn and James Stankevich, 105 Main St. in Goodman.

Shoppers will be able to browse the garden paths as vendors will be tucked away among the hostas, lilies, ferns and ponds. Jewelry, quilt work and other forms of crafts and art — such as paintings, pottery, textiles, cards and garden art — are set up beneath towering maples or in the sunken gazebo area garden.

Vendors and visitors can sit and soak up the atmosphere and relax as they shop, sell or listen to live music.

Vendors should call to reserve space at $10 per booth at 715-336-2077 or 715-548-1366. They are asked to indicate any special needs. All vendors are expected to supply their own tables and tents for their space.

No concessions will be available, in accordance to the CDC guidelines for COVID-19.

The Stankevichs use the proceeds from this event for a scholarship that honors the memory of their son, Brian, who was a cancer victim at a very young age. Pure maple syrup from Brian’s uncle and artwork from Brian’s brother will be for sale as well.

More than 30 vendors are expected to participate. The event also will feature an assortment of bucket raffles that guests may purchase tickets for a chance to win.

The band Cuttin’ Grass will provide live music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grounds

If the forecast predicts heavy rains, the event may be cancelled if organizers believe the public will not be able to social distance safely while indoors.

They ask that shoppers consider wearing masks and limit touching items at the booths until ready to purchase.

The Stankevich family looks forward to welcoming visitors to their yard for the day.
