Homecoming, Spirit Week underway at Forest Park High School in CF
CRYSTAL FALLS –Kickoff of Forest Park’s 2020 Homecoming and Spirit Week began Monday at Forest Park High School.
Students are engaged in high-spirited competitions all week long. Dress-up days, part of the competition, started Monday with USA Day, with Tourist/Beach Day today, Class Color Day on Wednesday, Dress Your Theme on Thursday and Red/Black Day on Friday.
Wall decorating will be done Wednesday. This year’s theme for walls is Decades, with each class choosing a different decade.
On Friday, the school will have its annual pep assembly from 1:30 to 3:10 p.m. The pep assembly will feature a powderpuff football game, class cheer competition, air band competition, tug-of-war and other activities.
The Homecoming Court will be introduced during the volleyball game Thursday against the Stephenson Eagles. The Forest Park Trojan football team will face off Friday against the Carney-Nadeau Wolves, with kickoff at 6 p.m.
Halftime will feature the Forest Park marching band’s performance and the coronation of king and queen will take place during halftime, as well as the announcement of winners of all class competitions and Homecoming activities that took place during the week.
This year, a bonfire after the football game will take the place of the annual Homecoming Dance.
Homecoming Court representatives are: freshman — Anthony Kurtz and Beth Nocerini; sophomores — Will Curtis and Melanie Carlson; juniors –Ethan Kopf and Rayven Jacobson; senior candidates for king — Keall Emmers, Gavin Johnson, Gabe Scarlassara, Tommy Showers and Casey Siewiorek; senior candidates for queen — Aubrianna Ahola, Avrie Franz, Amya Johnson, Lea LaChapelle, Elaina Perry and Chloe Sundell.
