Yoga With or Without a Chair program at NWTC Aurora center
AURORA, Wis. — Yoga With or Without a Chair will be offered at the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College-Aurora Center through a partnership with the Aging and Disability Resource Center and Public Health of Florence County.
The program is appropriate both for sedentary and active adults. The chair provides extra support for those who may need it, but it is not required. The classes are open to all adults but target the middle-aged and older adult population.
The classes will be at the Aurora center on Tuesdays and Thursdays — Slow Flow 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and Chair Yoga 10 to 11 a.m. — starting Tuesday through March 4. Cost is $5 per session, to be paid at each class.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions at NWTC, students will be required to wear a mask and remain 6 feet apart during sessions. Students also will be required to sign in at each class for NWTC recording and reporting purposes. Class size is limited to no more than 30 participants. Those interested in participating in the yoga classes should contact the Florence County Health Department at 715-528-3426 to sign up.
Yoga instructor Lynn Mueller, owner of iCanYoga2, is a 500-hour certified and registered yoga instructor. She also has more than 4,000 hours of teaching experience.
