IRON MOUNTAIN -- Dickinson County Community Theater returns to the Braumart at 7 p.m. Saturday for a one-night showing of "A Radio Host and Vaudeville Ghosts," a comedy send-up of radio talk shows and comedy stars of the 1930s.

Radio host Raus Limberger, played by DCCT President Rodney Kjell, the bloviating emcee of the Exuberance in Bombast Network, presides over this radio show with the assistance of his trusty aide, Anda Tavonatti, with his faithful Foley operator, Owen Kjell, provides sound effects. The advertisement announcer, Dr. Tony Grudnoski, gives the sales pitch for old-fashioned and new radio spots in the WTLK studio..

Listen to Mae West, played by Marti Nord, admit, "I'm no angel, but I've spread my wings a bit." Watch Mrs. Nesselrode, Michele Kellrooney, the cultural luminary of Ferrous Hill, perform her "Ode to a Grecian Urn" with Jan Miller and Valerie Kjell as the Ladies of EATS -- The Exclusive Arts and Theatrical Society.

W.C. Fields, played by Jonathan Ringel, complains, "What weasel went and stole the cork from my lunch?" Enjoy Stewart Boyles as Will Rogers, who observes "It's easy being a humorist when you've got the whole government working for you."

Will the Ferrous Hill Theatre be saved? Or will Mrs. Nesselrode prevail in her efforts to wipe out any trace of the vaudeville artists who once performed there?

Tickets are $12, with a special $25 family rate for parents and children younger than 12. Seating is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions.
