Marquette history presentation May 26

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Regional History Center will present “Taking Care of Our Own: Featuring Marquette’s Holy Family Orphanage,” at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, May 26.

Beginning in the 1870s, the disabled, disadvantaged and orphaned of the Marquette area were cared for at the Poor Farm, St. Joseph’s Orphan Asylum, and then the Holy Family Orphanage. Stories will be provided from those who lived at the orphanage, and the historical mysteries of the building examined.
