Iron Mountain-Kingsford Area Zonta Club recently gathered to assemble “thank you“ gift baskets to present to some local frontline essential workers. The group chose three of local law enforcement agencies — Kingsford Public Safety, Iron Mountain Police Department and Dickinson County Sherriff‘s Department — and local grocery stores Super One Foods and Tadych’s Family Market as the recipients. From left are Nancy Schaub, Jan Buckman, Patricia Staller and Nancy Finch. “Without these special, hard-working, dedicated individuals we could not have survived this pandemic,” Zona member Raquel Reed said. Longtime member Toni Lori distributed the gift baskets April 16. The Zonta Club would like to thank all community members for their efforts in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and staying safe and healthy, Reed said.
