Lions sponsor circus
The Niagara Lions Club on July 16 sponsored the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus for two shows in Niagara, Wis. This was the first circus in Niagara in decades and proved to be an outstanding success. Lion Dan Decker, left, as Larry the Lion and Ringmaster Lion Kim Schuster played important roles in the event, which also featured Niagara mayor and Lion Joey Johnston as the second ringmaster. Both shows were sellouts and even residents of a nearby nursing home attended with a caretaker. It was not intended as a moneymaker but just a great community event for Niagara and the surrounding area.
