Stamp club meets Tuesday in IM
IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Room at First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. The church is between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture.
The club will have a short business meeting, an educational program and the usual informal stamp club auction. Members are encouraged to bring up to five lots for the auction, and the club also will auction lots of recently acquired stamps.
The Northwoods Philatelic Society promotes the fun and fellowship of stamp collecting. The club is comprised of members from both Michigan and Wisconsin and is open to students as well as adults. Collectors range from very new to sophisticated.
Membership is free; the only requirement is the desire to learn about stamp collecting. Meetings are fun and informal, and everyone is welcome.
Masking and social distancing will be observed as required by current church, state and local mitigation standards in effect the night of the meeting. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be provided if needed.
