Adult Pinewood Derby set Oct. 16
Escanaba — The Hiawathaland District of the Bay-Lakes Council, Boy Scouts of America will have its first-ever Corporate (Adult) Pinewood Derby as a fundraiser to support scouting in the Upper Peninsula.
The event will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, Oct. 16, at the new Delta County Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center building in Escanaba. Car registration/inspection will start at 9 a.m.
“We wanted to create a fun event for all those adults and businesses out there to create a Pinewood Derby car and race it against your friends and others in you network,” District Director Patrick O’Brien said. “There are Pinewood Derby kits available; however, sign up today to secure your spot.”

Adults can support the event and get a kit to race a car as an individual for $50. There will also be corporate/business sponsorship rates starting at $250.
