Global Story Hour features New York
CRYSTAL FALLS — The Crystal Falls District Community Library will host a Global Explorers Story Hour about New York at 3:40 p.m. Thursday.
They will be reading: “Liberty Rising: The Story of the Statue of Liberty,” by Pegi Deitz Shea; “Blue Sky White Stars,” by Sarvinder Naberhaus; and “Why Is the Statue of Liberty Green?,” by Martha E. H. Rustad.
Children will do two STEM projects turning pennies green and constructing towers out of spaghetti and marshmallows.
There will be a New York-themed snack. Each child will get to take home a book about New York at the end of the story hour.
All are welcome to attend.
