Iron Mountain graduate publishes youth fiction series

JEN BRADY

Jen Brady, a 1997 graduate of Iron Mountain High School, has just published a series of youth romance novels based on “Little Women.”

Set in modern times, her March Sisters Sweet Romance Books concerns the relationships of the teenage March sisters as they navigate their love lives.

The first book, “Subscribing to the Enemy,” concentrates on Joanna March, the most rebellious of the sisters, as she finds love with someone she can’t imagine even liking. The second book, “Falling for the Tutor,” is the eldest sister, pretty Megan’s story. Book three, “Making Music with the Country Star,” gives readers a new side of shy Bethany. Finally, the youngest sister, Mya, has her story told in “Crushing on the Boy Next Door.”

Those who have read Alcott’s “Little Women” may like seeing the girls’ updated stories and watching for favorite parts from the original novel made fresh by the 21st century twists. But readers do not have to be Louisa May Alcott fans to enjoy the series.

After graduating as valedictorian from Iron Mountain High School, Brady went on to earn a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She has published several books, including “Buddy Check,” “Super Counselors” and the “Abby’s Camp Days” series, which deal with life at the fictional Camp Spirit in the Upper Peninsula.

She now lives in Wisconsin with her husband and two children, where she has turned her craft to producing clean teen romance novels such as her new series.

The March Sisters Sweet Romance Book series is now available from Amazon both in the Kindle and print version.
