Dickinson MARSP meets Thursday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will meet Thursday at Pine Grove Country Club.

Randy Van Gasse, the group’s legislative ambassador, will provide legislative updates that affect retirement.

A social hour with coffee provided will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a noon luncheon. A cash bar will also be available. The noon luncheon will feature spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and a house salad for $18. A chef salad for $12 is available on request when making reservations either online or when called. No alterations may be made to either selection. All selections will include a dessert. Anyone who makes a reservation is expected to make arrangements to pay for and pick up their meal selection if unable to attend the meeting.

Members are asked to bring canned goods — four of each kind — to be donated to the four food pantries they support.

This meeting is for MARSP members and their spouses, but any Michigan public schools retiree interested in joining MARSP or renewing their membership is welcome. For more information on how to join MARSP, contact Kris Bal at 906-282-0300 or check the website at www.dcmarsp.webs.com.
