FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northwoods Geology Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the lower level of the Florence Natural Resource Center.

Everyone is welcome to attend. This will be the final meeting this year. Meetings will commence again on the fourth Wednesday in April.

In September, two club members traveled to South Dakota to do rockhounding. They will present a short overview of the places they went to and what was collected. Grab bags will be available for all, containing a variety of specimens collected from this trip.

Sodas and water will be available during the meeting.

Before snow flies, anyone planning on a day trip rockhounding that would like to have company should post those plans on the club’s Facebook page, including the date, time and meet-up place and what can be found there. Others may be interested in participating.
