The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs revived an old tradition of an afternoon tea Sept. 25 at the Chippewa Club in Iron Mountain. Entertainment for “An Afternoon to Remember” included Alice Smith, left, and Terry Sovey doing on a skit about the history of tea, plus piano music and Lydia’s Boutique provided the ladies with a fall fashion show. Many of the ladies who attended dressed in fancy hats and gloves, as was done in the past. The Chippewa Club provided a lovely dessert and tea. The silent auction event raised $800 to be used for club scholarships.
