CRYSTAL FALLS -- A Global Explorer Story Hour about Alaska is planned at 1 p.m. Friday at the Crystal Falls District Community Library.
Children will learn about the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. The books that will be read are "If You Were a Kid at the Iditarod," by Josh Gregory; "Painter and Ugly," by Robert J. Blake; and "The Great Serum Race: Blazing the Iditarod Trail," by Debbie S. Miller.
For a STEM activity, children will graph the distance between checkpoints on the Iditarod trail.
The library is at 237 Superior Ave. in Crystal Falls. All are invited to attend.
