Stamp club meets Tuesday
IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Room at First Lutheran Church at 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain, between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture.
A short business meeting and educational program will be followed by the usual informal stamp club auction. Members are encouraged to bring up to five lots for the auction, and the club will also auction lots of recently acquired stamps.
The Northwoods Philatelic Society promotes the fun and fellowship of stamp collecting. The club has members from both Michigan and Wisconsin and is open to students as well as adults. Collectors range from very new to sophisticated. Membership is free; the only requirement is the desire to learn about stamp collecting.
Masking and social distancing will be observed as required by current church, state and local mitigation standards in effect the night of the meeting. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be provided if needed.
