GFWC to meet on Friday

Michigan State Police Lieutenant Jeremy Hauswirth was the speaker at the March meeting of the Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Club. He informed the women of possible scams, safety measures to be followed and how to protect themselves.

IRON MOUNTAIN -- The General Federated Women's Club of Iron Mountain-Kingsford will meet at noon Friday at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.

Members are asked to arrive by 11:45 a.m. to check in.

The program will be Silver Sneakers leader Cathy Lundy, who will demonstrate how to get exercise when working around the house and garden.

The menu will be meatless stir fry over rice and spring roll. Alternative choice is a chef salad. Cost will be $17.

Members are reminded to bring grocery receipts from Super One and Tadych's (nothing before Dec. 9, 2021, will be accepted at Tadych's).

There will be the election of new officers for 2022-2023. Some by-law changes will be introduced.

Dues for the next year of $65 will be collected by the treasurer.
