IRON MOUNTAIN -- North Land Women for Education raises money for the sole purpose of giving away scholarships. This year, they will award two $1,000 scholarships to women. Applications are available at all area schools.
Applicants must live in Dickinson County or within 20 miles of Iron Mountain. Women going back to school, non-traditional students and current college students may apply. Deadline is April 13.
Eligibility is not limited to first-time applicants. Those who have applied or even been recipients in the past will be deemed eligible if they meet the other qualifications and the guidelines.
