They have a granddaughter, Deanna Tappy Balkum; a great-grandson, Taylor Chartier; and a great-granddaughter, Alayna Balkum.

Albin worked for the Dickinson County Road Commission, retiring in 2003, and Kay worked for the Dickinson County Library, also retiring in 2003.

The couple traveled to the Hawaiian Islands with his parents. They also traveled to Canada and visited Niagara Fall. They also traveled to the southern and eastern states with their best friends, Bill and Carolyn Egofske.

Albin and Kay love spending time with their daughter, Tina, and her husband, Paul; and their granddaughter, Deanna, her husband, Matt, and their children.

In 2012, they celebrated their 50th anniversary with a lovely party with family and many friends — a special day, which will always be remembered.

Albin and Kay continue to live in their home of 44 years in Kingsford Heights, where they have shared many memories and have been enjoying their retirement and being with each other for 60 wonderful years.

They are very grateful for all of God’s blessings in their lives.
