Grants awarded

The Dickinson Area Community Foundation had its annual grant presentation Feb. 20 at the Izzo-Mariucci Center in Iron Mountain. The event included grants awarded by the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Youth Advisory Committee. The students presented the grants they evaluated. All 2022 grant awardees were invited to attend. DACF board members presented agency and field of interest grants. Each year, the foundation hosts a grant cycle — applications are available in the fall and due in October — with the awards presented in the first quarter of the next year. Local non-profit agencies received $183,828.00 from agency endowment funds, the Youth Advisory Committee awarded $27,631.65 and field of interest grants awarded were $17,455.
