FENCE, Wis. -- The Town of Fence its hosting a Centennial Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 6, marking 101 years on Highway 101.
The festivities kick off with a parade at 10 a.m., with activities to follow at noon.
They will feature live music all day by Gloria & Friends, providing polka and classic country tunes; and the country and classic rock groups Taste of Wolf and MOFO Bros.
There will also be a cornhole tournament, car show, hayrides by Bob Hedmark, and woodcarving. Food and beverage vendors will be onsite for the celebration.
A 5K run begins at 8 a.m., with registration at 7:30 a.m.
There will also be children's activities, including water slides, bounce house, games, kiddie pool, petting zoo and face painting.
The event is sponsored by the Fence Volunteer Fire Department, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Sportsmans Club and Lions Club.
