IRON MOUNTAIN — The Pine Mountain 500 stair climb event will take place Saturday, sponsored by the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Rotary Club.

The event starts at 9 a.m. at the top of Pine Mountain. Participants race down Kramer Drive to lower Pine Mountain Road/Hibbard Street before turning on Pine Mountain Road and racing to the Pine Mountain Ski Jump’s 500 steps for a total distance of 2.78 miles.

In 2021, the race drew more than 250 participants, including professional stair climbers from across the world.
