Stamp club meets Tuesday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship room at First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave./U.S. 2, between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture in Iron Mountain.

A short business meeting and educational program will be followed by the usual informal stamp club auction. Members are encouraged to bring up to five lots for the auction, and the club will also auction recently acquired stamps.

The Northwoods Philatelic Society promotes the fun and fellowship of stamp collecting. It has members from Michigan and Wisconsin and is open to students as well as adults.

Collectors range from very new to sophisticated. Membership is free; the only requirement is a desire to learn about stamp collecting. Meetings are fun and informal. Everyone is welcome.

For more information, contact secretary Milt Wirth at 906-774-5784 or mwirth@chartermi.net; or any club member.
