Communities That Care to host Hope2Help Suicide Awareness Walk Sunday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson-Iron Communities That Care will hosts its fifth-annual Hope2Help Suicide Awareness Walk on Sunday.

The event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m., in the parking lot of Super One in Iron Mountain.

Guest speakers are Jeff Olsen, who produced the documentary “Do It For Daniel,” and Phil Gardipee. They will talk at 3 p.m., followed by the 1-mile walk with raffle drawings to start at 4 p.m.

There will also be bounce house, face painting, balloon animals food, music by Mel Rose, and raffle. T-shirt will be available for $15 and raffle tickets are $1 each. Dial Help, Bellin Clinic and Great Lakes Recovery will have resources tables set up at the event.

Food will be provided. Free-will donations will be accepted.

Event partners include Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, NorthPointe Behavioral, Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, Great Lakes Recovery Centers Inc., and Bellin Health Iron Mountain.

Everyone is encouraged to come and enjoy the day.
