Fall concert series at Bay College starts Sept. 16

ESCANABA -- Bay College has announced artists scheduled to perform during the fall 2022 Besse Center concert series.
The line-up includes Karlee Metzger & Friends, Michael Waite, Victoria Vox, and Gordon Lightfoot Tribute. All concerts start at 7 p.m. in the Besse Theater on Bay's main campus in Escanaba.
Kicking off the series on Friday, Sept. 16 is Karlee Metzger & Friends performing "Nashville Writer's Round." This will be an interactive singer/songwriter roundtable where the artists take turns discussing their inspirations and songwriting process during this acoustic performance.
Releasing his new album titled "We've Always Been at Home" on Friday, Oct. 7, is singer/songwriter Michael Waite. Joining Waite is his band Adam Sawfox, Eric Marta, Eli Bender, Rachel Capon, and Ben Campbell. This album features songs that are playful observations about human nature written in Waite's home that he built for his family in the Huron Mountains.
Back on the Besse stage is Victoria Vox performing on Monday, Oct. 10 with her ukulele of course. Vox is famous for using looping, percussive, and unique vocal elements in her original songs.
In celebration of the College's 60th anniversary, Gordon Lightfoot Tribute is performing on Thursday, Nov. 3. Mike Fornes and the band will be featuring "Lightfoot – The Stories, The Songs." Audiences will learn the fascinating backstories and hear the iconic songs of Gordon that captivated millions during the '60s, '70s, and '80s. This remarkable program pays tribute to the artist's legacy of music, songwriting, and history.
