IRON MOUNTAIN — The Honor Flight Cycling Team invites all veterans from the Dickinson County area — Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Norway, Vulcan, North Dickinson, Niagara and Florence, Wis. — to gather for a special meet and greet at noon Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Veteran’s War Memorial at the top of Pine Mountain in Iron Mountain

At this time, the Cycling Team will announce to the veterans the fundraising total for the 227 mile “Ride of Honor” that took place in August from the Veteran’s Memorial to the Mackinaw Bridge.

The “Ride of Honor” was done to honor all of veterans and to support the U.P. Honor Flight program. A group photo of local veterans to commemorate the “Ride of Honor” will also be taken.

Veterans who have gone on an Honor Flight are asked to wear their jackets. All veterans are encouraged to wear their military cap or Honor Flight cap to the event.

Veterans of all ages and years of service are invited to attend. Food and drinks will be available.
