IRON RIVER — The Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the J. Patrick White Conference Room of the West Iron District Library.

The group will view the lecture “The Genealogical Proof Standard” from the DVD, “Discovering Your Roots: An Introduction to Genealogy.”

This program can assist people in judging the reliability of the information they find so their research can be as accurate as possible.

Whether a veteran researcher or just beginning a genealogical search, this program should be of great interest and very helpful.

Dues were payable in July. Meetings are open to all individuals and take place monthly in the J. Patrick White Conference Room of the West Iron District Library.
