Iron Mountain Class of 1972 holds 50-year reunion

IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Iron Mountain High School Class of 1972 had a fabulous 50-year class reunion.
Friday night, the group had a personal tour of the Pine Mountain Ski Jump by Lennie Walters. The class tradition is always meeting at Bimbo's on Friday night -- and it was a great turnout.
The Saturday afternoon golf scramble was organized by Monica Maule at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain. A good times was had by all with more being interested for the 55th reunion.
The reunion finale was at Pine Grove Country Club. The appetizers and sandwiches had rave reviews, along with having great service throughout the night.
Seventy-six classmates were in attendance. They thanked all classmates that donated to make this night special; many were there, but some were unable to attend.
The decorating committee of Paula Santoni, Kay Gauthier, Vicki Faust, Toni Zablocki and Darcy Kassin did an was awesome job and featured a memorial door, hippie board for photos, flowers, 50th signs, plates and napkins, which were donated; the music committee of Greg Larson and Jeff Hart did great with background music from the '70s -- some dancing involved.
The memorial "door" for the 23 deceased classmates was special, along with a memorial table with candles. Lennie Walters and Bruce Dishnow honored those classmates.
A thank you to all for buying 50-50 tickets for the 55th reunion. Sue (Latondres) Sanders was the winner.
