The Crystal Falls Area Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Dickinson Area Community Foundation, recently presented a Community Impact Grant of $500 to the Carrie Jacobs-Bond Quilt Group, an organization that makes and donates quilts to area organizations and people in need, including veterans, dialysis patients, the Ronald McDonald House and others. Al Anderson presents the check to chair Michaeline Penkivech, along with members, from left, Karen Ivens, Judy Carlson, Carol Erickson, Joanne Stachowicz and Maxine Hookenson. The grant was made possible through matching funds from the Pasahow Family Fund. The mission of the Community Foundation is to improve the quality of life for local residents.
