IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Dickinson Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will meet on Thursday, April 20, at Pine Grove Country Club.
Kelly Bianco will discuss the Silver Sneakers program and the benefits of exercise.
A social hour with coffee provided will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a noon luncheon. A cash bar will also be available.
The noon luncheon will feature meatloaf, baked potato, vegetable, a side salad and roll for $18.
A chef salad for $14 is available on request when making reservations, either online or when called. No alterations may be made to either selection. All selections will include a dessert.
Note that anyone who makes a reservation is expected to make arrangements to pay for and pick up their meal selection if unable to attend the meeting.
The calling committee will begin contacting members on Sunday. Those not contacted by noon Thursday, April 13, should email MARSP at dcmarsp@gmail.com or call Pam Trask at 906-779-9157 to make a reservation. The deadline is noon Friday, April 14, to add or cancel reservations.
Members are asked to bring canned goods -- four of each kind -- to be donated to the four food pantries the group supports. They will also collect used eye glasses at the meeting.
This meeting is for MARSP members and their spouses, but the group welcomes any retiree from the Michigan public schools who is interested in joining MARSP or renewing their membership.
